TTV in Poland orders Gen Z spin-off to Real Men, RTL Netherlands confirms new Buying Blind series

Play Media in Belgium has commissioned a local adaptation of Buying Blind

Broadcaster TTV in Poland has commissioned a Gen Z-themed spin-off to its series Real Men as part of a deal with distributor Seven. One Studios International.

Real Gen Z will follow five young people on an inspiring journey to improve their physical and mental wellbeing by stepping away from digital distractions and embracing real-world experiences.

Set to launch in March, it comes after Real Men, originally produced by MakeItBee for DR1 in Denmark, has run as a local production for six seasons on TTV, while the format has also been remade in Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden.

The agreement is one of numerous deals sealed by ProSiebenSat.1 Media-owned Seven. One Studios International ahead of the London TV Screenings next week. Real estate format Buying Blind continues its growth, with RTL Netherlands confirming a new season for 2025.

In Belgium, Play Media has commissioned a local adaptation of Buying Blind, set to air in 2025, as well as licensing all five seasons of Buying Blind Netherlands.

Meanwhile, BBC in the UK has acquired all five seasons of property series The Great House Revival for its channels and iPlayer. The series sees adventurous homeowners attempt to restore derelict properties to their former glory. Produced by Animo TV, the show is in its fifth season on RTÉ in Ireland.

Other renewals include culinary competition format 4 Ristoranti and its hotel-focused spin-off 4 Hotel – both produced by Banijay Italy – on Sky Uno in Italy.

The format, also known as My Restaurant Rocks, has also been recommissioned by laSexta for Spain and TV3 in Catalonia. Meanwhile, Germany’s Sat.1 has confirmed The Taste, produced by Redseven Entertainment, will return for its 14th season this year.

High-energy gameshow My Man Can, meanwhile, has been rebooted in Romania by Kanal D, where it is set to go into production this spring, while in Turkey, TV8 has commissioned a 20-episode series.

Tim Gerhartz, MD of Seven. One Studios International, said: “These latest deals show that the global appetite for engaging unscripted entertainment remains strong and are proof of the enduring power of formats and factual content that captivates audiences and drives ratings.”
