Sky Atlantic returns to Riviera

Sky has seen success with original dramas such as Riviera

Sky Atlantic’s thriller Riviera, starring Julia Stiles, has been extended into a third season.

Riviera was created by Academy Award-winning writer Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, The Borgias) and was based on an idea by rock group U2’s former manager Paul McGuinness.

The show was developed and produced by Archery Pictures in the UK and Primo Productions, with the first season airing in 2017.

It is set in the South of France and stars Stiles as an American art curator who discovers hidden secrets about the life she shared with her billionaire husband after he is killed in a mysterious yacht explosion.

The drama airs on Comcast-owned Sky in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany and Austria, while distributor Sky Vision has secured sales around the world, including to Greek pay TV broadcaster Cosmote TV.
