Speculation over which celebrities might have had cosmetic surgery has been a source of public fascination for decades, with the media awash with ‘before and after’ photos. Over two programmes, we examine the faces of well-known celebrities who’ve had an enormous amount of column inches dedicated to how they look. Combining the insight of people who know them with experts who study selected paparazzi photos from throughout their careers, we attempt to work out exactly what is the result of natural ageing - and what may have had a helping hand from a professional! Stars under the microscope include media mogul Simon Cowell, who is suspected of having a face-lift, as well as spending upward of £50,000 on his teeth and Madonna, who’s constant reinvention sees her with an unwrinkled, puffed-up ‘pillow-face’ at the age of 60 while still insisting she’s not keen on cosmetic procedures.
