Rochstar to adapt quiz format The Smartest Person in the World for Poland’s TVP

Polish public broadcaster TVP has closed a deal to adapt quizshow format The Smartest Person in the World.

Rochstar is producing TVP’s version of the quiz, titled Omnibus, which will launch on March 3 on TVP1.

Belgium-headquartered specialist formats distributor Primitives shops the show internationally.

Originally created and produced by Woestijnvis for Play in Belgium, The Smartest Person in the World is a daily quiz format in which three celebrity contestants lay claim to the title of The Smartest Person, guided by a host and a sharp-tongued jury of two comedians.

Emma Gosling, sales and acquisitions manager at Primitives, who brokered the deal, said: “The Smartest Person in the World continues to thrive thanks to its smart gameplay mixed with humour. Rochstar have a deep knowledge of the original format and are the perfect partners to bring Omnibus to life for TVP.”
