HBO Max Aus picks up new SNL UK

NEWS BRIEF: HBO Max Australia has picked up the UK version of Saturday Night Live, premiering in Australia on March 23.

The six‑episode series, debuts in the UK on Sky from March 21 and is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team and Broadway Video for Sky and Now. Filmed live each week in London, SNL UK features an emerging ensemble of British comedy talent with an inaugural 11-member cast. The new British offshoot will also feature Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan and Riz Ahmed as the first three hosts of SNL UK.
