Faith-based streaming service from Duck Dynasty, Pure Flix alumni launched

EKKL offers a library of 350 films and series

Duck Dynasty stars Willie and Korie Robertson have teamed up with Pure Flix co-founder Michael Scott and entrepreneur Zach Dasher to launch a faith-based streaming service.

US-based EKKL, named after the Greek word ekklesia, meaning a gathering of people, launched on July 8 with a library of 350 films and series available for US$5.84 per month.

Titles currently available to stream include Light of the World, a recent faith-based animated feature about the story of Jesus; recent biblical drama The Last Supper; and the 2014 feature film God’s Not Dead.

The streaming platform will continue to add to its slate through acquisitions and originals, while the library will also feature daily devotionals and podcasts.

It has linked up with Willie and Korie Robertson’s podcast company Tread Lively Entertainment to offer titles such as WHOA That’s Good Podcast, hosted by Sadie Robertson Huff; Full Fledged with Priscilla Shirer and Jerry ‘JC’ Shirer Jr; and Blurry Creatures.

The move comes after Willie and Korie Robertson, who rose to fame on hit reality series Duck Dynasty, found success with their 2023 Christian biographical drama The Blind.

Scott is co-founder and former CEO of Christian streamer Pure Flix and a film distributor and pioneer in faith-and-family streaming, while Dasher is active in podcasting, technology and digital media platforms.

EKKL will also release its own feature films, with three releases planned in 2026 and ambitions to distribute seven to 10 films annually.

Its line-up includes Elijah Peel, a drama about redemption and second chances, inspired by a true story. Directed by Kevin D Sepe and executive produced by Willie and Korie Robertson along with Terry Lee Harris, the film will open exclusively in theatres on August 14.

Daniel & The Fiery Furnace is an epic live-action biblical drama starring Mena Massoud (Aladdin) and Elijah Alexander (The Chosen), which will open in theatres on September 18.

She Dances is a father-daughter drama starring Steve Zahn, his daughter Audrey Zahn, Ethan Hawke, Rosemarie DeWitt and Mackenzie Ziegler, which premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Festival and was released in theatres this March.

Additional theatrical titles will be announced in the coming months as EKKL expands its distribution footprint, the company said.
