DEATH IN THE SUN explores murders committed far from home through the experiences of the victims and families left behind. Each episode follows a different case, combining archive and interviews to reconstruct the crime, the investigation and the role the destination played in events. Families share how they faced grief alongside the added challenges of distance, unfamiliar legal systems, cultural and language barriers, and financial strain. This victim-led true crime series reveals how the search for sunshine, adventure or a new life abroad can end in devastating tragedy.
