Budapest-based prodco Paprika Studios opens office in Croatia

The Croatian adaptation of reality format Come Dine with Me

Budapest-based prodco Paprika Studios has opened an office in Zagreb, Croatia.

Led by country manager Sandra Anušić, the Zagreb office is responsible for the Croatian adaptation of reality format Come Dine with Me (Večera za 5), produced for RTL.

The move into Croatia follows Paprika Studios’ expansion into Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

As well as its Hungarian office, the prodco is now present in 10 countries in the CEE region and produces content in 17 languages for more than 30 TV channels and streaming platforms.

Paprika Studios’ portfolio spans local adaptations of international entertainment formats, as well as original and international coproductions. Its credits include formats Dancing with the Stars, The X Factor, Survivor, The Traitors and Farmer Wants a Wife, plus dramas Paradise City (Amazon’s Prime Video) and Murderesses (Netflix Poland).

Bence Trunkó, COO of Paprika Studios, said: “Opening an office in Croatia is another important milestone for us. Our philosophy is to combine the talent of local professionals with the opportunities of our international network, this is how truly valuable, relevant content is created for audiences in each country.

“Our goal is to deliver the quality and creativity that have made Paprika Studios the regional market leader, both for Croatian viewers and for our partners. We approached our first production for RTL Croatia with exactly this level of ambition.”
