ABC Australia, NRK and YLE to discuss scripted commissioning strategies and partnership opportunities at Content London 2026

ABC Australia’s Rachel Okine, NRK’s Marianne Furevold-Boland and YLE’s Jarmo Lampela are set to discuss their content strategies and opportunities for collaboration at Content London.

Taking part in the Content Strategies track, where the most active international buyers outline their future programming plans, these top scripted executives will share insights into their upcoming slates, future programming priorities and real international coproduction opportunities.

Their participation will highlight how global buyers are seeking new ways to navigate shifting audience demands, funding challenges and the rapidly evolving content landscape.

The four-day event is designed to give delegates practical strategies for navigating The New Content Economy, with an emphasis on unscripted and scripted content opportunities, international coproductions, global financing models and how to work toward a digital-first approach.

Okine leads the development and production of the national broadcaster’s drama and comedy slates. Under her direction, ABC collaborates with top-tier creative talent to deliver bold, distinctly Australian storytelling.

Marianne Furevold-Boland
Head of drama
NRK – Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation
Furevold-Boland leads a team developing and producing a diverse range of scripted stories. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in several of NRK’s most acclaimed series, including Still Breathing, Powerplay, State of Happiness, Exit, So Long Marianne, A Better Man and Requiem for Selina. She gained international recognition as the producer of the hit series Skam, later overseeing its global journey as it was adapted in more than eight countries.

Jarmo Lampela
Head of drama
YLE
Lampela has been head of drama at YLE since 2015. His background includes working as professor of film directing and as head of the department of film, television and scenography at Aalto University, Helsinki. Since 1992, he has worked as a director, scriptwriter and producer, with credits on numerous productions across cinema, television and theatre.
