Zephyr Animation greenlights Mogu & Perol following deals with France Télévisions and HakkaTV

Mogu & Perol is expected to be delivered by October 2027

Paris-based Madgic Group’s Zephyr Animation has greenlit preschool series Mogu & Perol, following deals with France Télévisions and Taiwan’s HakkaTV.

Coproduced with Dwarf Studios in Japan, the 39×7’ CG animated series will be produced at Zephyr’s sister company 2 Minutes, along with Taiwan-based animation studio Aries Creative.

Production will start this month, with delivery expected by October 2027. Madgic Distribution holds the international sales rights to the series.

Following a development deal with France Télévisions, Mogu & Perol was pitched at Cartoon Forum in 2022, resulting in an investment deal in the series from momomini Kids Content Fund in Taiwan.

It is an adaptation of an original eight-minute stop-motion short film produced by Dwarf Studios and created and directed by Tsuneo Goda.

The series’ plot centres on a big, gentle, timid monster who loves nature and a small, charming, explosive creature with a passion for cuddles and adventure. Together, they invite the audience to share in the joy, colour and creativity of their day-to-day life on the little island of Mori Mori.
