Warner Bros Germany, Night Train adapt Nordic crime novels

NEWS BRIEF: Warner Bros International Television Production Germany (WBITVP Germany) has picked up the rights to a Nordic noir novel franchise by Ragnar Jónasson, titled Dark Iceland, to adapt into a series.

Dark Iceland is set in a remote and idyllic Icelandic fishing village and follows protagonist Ari Thór Arason, a rookie detective on his first posting, troubled by a complex past that he is unable to leave behind. WBITVP Germany will coproduce a TV adaptation with Herbert L Kloiber’s Night Train Media.
