STVR On the Right Track with SVT entertainment format Na Správnej Ceste

Na Správnej Ceste (On the Right Track) launches on STVR next month

Slovakian broadcaster Slovak Television & Radio (STVR) has commissioned a local version of Swedish Friday night entertainment quizshow format On the Right Track.

Belgian distributor Primitives has licensed the format to STVR, which will air the show under the title Na Správnej Ceste, with a 16-episode first season set to launch on January 9.

On the Right Track, or På Spåret in Sweden, is an original idea from the in-house team at SVT, where it is into its 36th season.

The format, which has been on air in Sweden every Friday night since 1987, pits two celebrity teams against each other on three separate journeys filmed from the front of a mode of transport.

Viewers must try to identify the destination, using visual clues from the video, additional help from the host amidst the puns, word play and anecdotes.

The format has also been a sold to YLE in Finland, where it is now in its fourth season. The Slovakian version will be presented by actor Ján Dobrík and traveller Martin Navrátil.

STVR’s Filip Púchovský said: “The show’s unique rules, distinctive setting and live band give us the perfect blend of entertainment and knowledge that we know will delight audiences.”

With a focus on reality and entertainment, Primitives shops formats including The Mole, 99 To Beat and The Ultimate Celebrity Car Park Showdown. It recently promoted Simone de Pruyssenaere de la Woestyne to MD, replacing Jan Huyse, who is stepping down.
