Perspectives sets up division to bolster ‘insufficient’ traditional sales model

Perspectives, owner of French YouTube channels operator Logicomix, has launched a distribution arm and is looking to acquire international content.

Perspectives Entertainment will focus on programming for France and French-speaking territories.

The new division builds on the group’s expertise in distributing and editorialising longform content online, including social media platforms.

Perspectives already has long-standing partnerships with international sales agents, French distributors, broadcasters and VoD aggregators.

Logicomix was founded in 2016 and manages nearly 70,000 hours of audiovisual content, including sports, news, films, documentaries, series, magazine shows and entertainment.

It has partnerships with more than 60 rights holders, including producers, distributors and broadcasters, and also supports 50 creators on YouTube.

“As audience behaviour shifts toward connected TV and digital platforms, traditional distribution models alone are no longer sufficient. Our ambition is to build distribution strategies across multiple windows where digital is integrated from the outset as a core exploitation pillar, creating sustainable long-term value,” said Lucile Toulemont, head of acquisitions, feature films and series.
