Fledgling distribution platform Sutudu.TV looks to license content at TIFF

Newly formed online distribution platform Sutudu.TV is seeking conversations with creators, rights holders, sales companies and potential distribution partners as it looks to grow its catalogue.

Sutudu.TV will make its debut as an exhibitor at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) next month, having launched during the 2026 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

Sutudu.TV is the consumer-facing streaming and distribution platform owned and operated by Sutudu, the New Jersey-based company founded by Khoa D Le, a filmmaker and Producers Guild of America member whose work has been distributed on Netflix, Prime Video and Peacock.

Le began building towards Sutudu in 2021 after experiencing what he described as “opaque reporting, limited creator control and uneven economics” during his filmmaking career.

Sutudu.TV has a library of licensed films, documentaries, series and shortform programming, while Sutudu Cinemas is targeting theatrical releases with exhibitors and experienced distribution partners.

At TIFF, Le is looking to have conversations about licensing and distributing completed films, documentaries, scripted and unscripted series, vertical series, culturally specific programming and curated catalogues.

Through Sutudu.TV, content partners can access transactional, subscription and advertising-supported viewing alongside audience analytics, social-first marketing, brand partnerships and secondary distribution opportunities, Le said.

Sutudu’s international footprint includes Sutudu Vietnam, while its head of acquisitions is Mexico-based Liz Sanchez, who leads outreach to rights holders, producers, sales companies and international content suppliers.

Chief social officer Eliana Ghen leads Sutudu’s social strategy alongside chief marketing officer Joe Nunez, who helps filmmakers, suppliers and brand partners develop audiences around their work.

“We did not build Sutudu to become another place where a filmmaker uploads a movie and waits. We built it to connect distribution with audience development, marketing, community and new revenue opportunities,” said Le.

“Sutudu.TV gives us a digital home, while Sutudu Cinemas allows us to begin building theatrical pathways with exhibitors and distribution partners. The Toronto International Film Festival is where we want to meet the people ready to build that next phase with us.”
