Coolabi restructures and rebrands as Four Trees Media, makes three hires

Coolabi is developing Beast Quest as an animated series

Coolabi Group has rebranded as Four Trees Media and brought its literary arm, Working Partners, under the same name, while making three new appointments.

The rebrand brings together the company’s books, digital, television, consumer products and gaming activities under a single brand.

Alongside the rebrand, Alex Moyet has joined as head of franchise strategy, bringing experience from Penguin Random House, Activision Blizzard, Curve Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Karen Troop joins as head of digital production from Passion Animation, having previously held senior digital roles at Fremantle UK and Endemol Shine UK.

The Lady Grace Mysteries is set for a second season on the BBC

Rob Streeten joins as finance director, having held senior finance positions at Filmbankmedia, Paramount Pictures International and Disney’s ABC ESPN Television.

The company’s new name takes inspiration from Warrior Cats, its flagship franchise, which originated as a series of books and is now a popular game on Roblox.

The brand is being adapted as an animated series that will air on Tencent Video platforms in China and South-East Asia and on Disney+ internationally.

Alongside Warrior Cats, Four Trees Media manages a catalogue that includes Beast Quest, currently in development as an animated series; The Lady Grace Mysteries, in production on its second season for the BBC; and Heartland, the adaptation of which is entering its 20th season. It also has Purple Ronnie and several classic children’s IPs, including The Large Family and King Arthur’s Disasters.

“Coolabi and Working Partners have built an incredible portfolio of IP, and bringing everything together as Four Trees Media represents an exciting new chapter for our team, our partners and our global fan communities,” said Will Harrison, CEO of Four Trees Media.
