NEWS BRIEF: Disney-owned Hulu has renewed thriller series Furious for a second season, one month after the debut of season one.

From creator, writer and exec producer Elizabeth Meriwether, Furious follows an FBI agent on the hunt for a mysterious female serial killer. It stars Emmy Rossum, who also exec produces through her prodco Composition 8, along with Ronald Bass, Matt Olmstead and Sam Hoffman. It is loosely inspired by Bass’s 1987 film Black Widow. 20th Television and Searchlight Television are the production companies.
