ChaiFlicks picks up Kiwi comedy Kid Sister for US, UK and Australia

Kid Sister debuted in 2022

Jewish content streamer ChaiFlicks has acquired the exclusive SVoD rights to both seasons (10×20’) of Kiwi comedy series Kid Sister for the US, UK and Australia.

Created, written, exec produced by and starring Simone Nathan (Our Flag Means Death, We Might Regret This), Kid Sister was originally commissioned by TVNZ, where it premiered in 2022. It will debut on ChaiFlicks this fall.

The semi-autobiographical series follows an unmarried 29-year-old woman (Nathan) living with her Jewish family in Auckland, where she struggles to follow her family’s incessant pressure to keep their traditions alive while hiding her secret relationship with her non-Jewish boyfriend.

Kid Sister was produced by Greenstone TV and Emily Aderton, and directed by Aidee Walker. Seven.One Studios International holds the distribution rights.
