CEE broadcasters including AMCNI, Viasat World bag 250 hours from Cineflix
AMCNI CNE picked up lifestyle programming such as Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers
UK-based distributor Cineflix Rights has secured multiple sales to broadcasters in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) totalling over 250 hours of both scripted and factual programming.
AMC Networks International Central and Northern Europe (AMCNI CNE) has acquired a selection of lifestyle programming that includes Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers (14×60’), produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment for HGTV, US and Canada.
AMCNI CNE also landed Beyond the Farm: Men at Work (4×60’), produced by Renegade Pictures and GroupM Motion Entertainment for the UK’s Channel 5, and travel and food series Sue Perkins into Alaska (3×60’), produced by Chalkboard TV and GroupM Motion Entertainment, also for Channel 5.
The shows are destined for AMCNI’s Spektrum Home channel in Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Additionally, AMCNI CNE has picked up Jimmy’s Taste of Florida (5×60’) and Ainsley’s Taste of Malta (5×60’), both produced by Rock Oyster Media Productions for ITV in the UK, to air on its TV Paprika channel, broadcasting across Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Moldova.
The network has also secured both seasons of the UK cozy crime drama Whitstable Pearl (12×60’), produced by Buccaneer for Acorn TV.
Viasat World, meanwhile, has expanded the content library for its newly launched Viasat True Crime channel in Poland with titles such as Murder Uncut (10×60’) and Killer Cases S3 (12×60’), both produced by Law&Crime Productions for True Crime Network in the US. Viasat True Crime also took The Clown & the Candyman (4×60’), produced by Cineflix Productions for Investigation Discovery in the US.
For its Viasat History channel, Viasat World has acquired Secret Nazi Science (8×60’), produced by Go Button Media for Super Channel in Canada, and for its Viasat Explore channel it has licensed Hidden Frontiers Arabia With Reza Pakravan (6×60’), produced by A-OK Media House for Discovery. These series will be available across CEE and Scandinavia.
In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, streaming platform Canal+ VOD has licensed several dramas, including Happily Married S1-3 (28×60’), produced by Productions Casablanca for Radio-Canada, and Irvine Welsh’s Crime S1-2 (12×60’), produced by Buccaneer and Off Grid Film & TV for ITVX/Britbox.
HRT in Croatia has acquired Sue Perkins into Alaska and Jimmy’s Taste of Florida.
Lastly, Antenna Entertainment has bagged several property and renovation titles from Cineflix Rights, including S2 of Holiday Homes in the Sun (40×60’), produced by Raise the Roof Productions and GroupM Motion Entertainment for Channel 5. The series will air on Antenna’s AXN Spin channels in Poland, Romania and the Adria region.
