BBC Studios Scripted Digital sees the commercial arm of the UK public service broadcaster expanding further into scripted content creation for digital platforms.

It is currently seeking to fill four positions within the unit: digital lead for drama, digital producer, digital development producer for drama and digital development producer for comedy.

The digital lead for drama will shape and deliver digital strategy across key BBC Studios scripted brands EastEnders, Casualty and Silent Witness.

BBC Studios is seeking to grow the presence of these brands on Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

The digital producer will produce social media content for brands such as EastEnders, Father Brown, Shakespeare & Hathaway and Private Detectives.

The digital development producers for drama and comedy, meanwhile, will find, shape, develop and pitch “bold” scripted ideas for digital audiences, working across original IP, new formats and spin-offs from BBC Studios’ existing content.

They will also be tasked with identifying digital-native creators, spotting emerging talent, developing repeatable social-first formats opportunities and shaping ideas specifically for digital platforms and audiences.

The closing date for applications is November 18. BBC Studios Scripted Digital is part of BBC Studios Productions, the scripted operations of which are overseen by Jamie Hall, who joined from Vice Studios at the beginning of the year.
