BBC Studios alum Martha Housden joins Studio Ramsay Global as director of development

Former BBC Studios executive Martha Housden has been appointed to the role of creative director of development at Studio Ramsay Global, the transatlantic joint venture between celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and Fox Entertainment.

Based in London, she will lead a team attempting to create the next generation of unscripted hit formats.

Housden most recently worked as creative director of development at BBC Studios between 2018 and December 2024.

There she spearheaded two creative units, project managed a range of commercial and onscreen talent deals and led collaborations with international broadcasters. Key projects during her tenure include Ultimate Wedding Planner (BBC), Great Home Transformation (C4) and Lost Dog Found Dog (5).

Prior to that she served as director of development at Twenty Twenty, working on First Dates Hotel (C4), The Audition Room (ITV) and A House Through Time (BBC). She has also held head of development roles at both Love Productions and Dragonfly Film and Television.

Studio Ramsay Global is behind food-themed formats such as Next Level Chef, Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service and recent Netflix documentary series Being Gordon Ramsay.
