Viaplay, TV3 retain The Lawyer

Modern Times Group (MTG)’s Nordic streaming service Viaplay and TV3 in Sweden and Denmark will air a 10-part thriller to be produced by Oscar-nominated Nicklas Wikström Nicastro and Joakim Hansson.

The Lawyer follows the descent of Swedish defence lawyer Frank Nordling into the Copenhagen underworld after he discovers that the firm’s most important client is responsible for the murder of his parents.

The show is being produced by SF Studios Production, with Studio Canal
handling international distribution.

It will premiere exclusively on Viaplay across the Nordic region and on TV3 in Denmark and Sweden in the autumn and stars Alexander Karim (Tyrant).

The Lawyer has been commissioned by MTG Studios, joining recent originals such as political thriller Embassy Down, Nordic drama series Veni Vidi Vici and LA-based comedy drama Swedish Dicks.
