Tubi adds 450 movies, TV episodes in Australia, Canada, UK via deals with Sony, NBCU

Fox-owned AVoD streamer Tubi is adding around 450 movies and TV episodes to its catalogue in Australia, Canada and the UK after signing deals with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The agreement with NBCUniversal will see Dawn of the Dead, Blockers, Ex Machina, Jane Eyre and Lady Bird join the Australian version of the streamer, while Along Came Polly, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Shaun of the Dead will join Tubi in the UK, among others.

In Canada, Tubi has added NBCUniversal titles including Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw, Casino, Glass, Happy Gilmore, How to Train Your Dragon, Johnny English, Jurassic World, Meet the Fockers, The Mummy, The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Van Helsing.

Under the agreement with Sony, Tubi picked up Australian rights to titles including A Knight’s Tale, Black Hawk Down, Easy A, Jumanji and The Punisher. In the UK, the Fox AVoD platform added Angels & Demons, Baby Driver, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Da Vinci Code, Eat Pray Love and The Green Hornet, while Sony titles joining the Canadian version of Tubi include Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Fifth Element, Hotel Transylvania and Sleepless in Seattle.
