The Game sells worldwide as Jason Watkins, Robson Green thriller returns

A raft of international broadcasters have picked up drama series The Game, which stars Jason Watkins and Robson Green, ahead of the S2 premiere on 5 in the UK tonight.

The 4×60′ first season has been shopped by distributor Sphere Abacus to TV2 in Norway, RUV (Iceland), Disney+ (UK and Ireland), Canal+ and its thriller channel Polar+ (France, French-speaking Europe, Africa, Romania and Dutch-speaking Benelux), Filmin (Portugal and Spain), Mystery Channel (Japan), Yes (Israel), Cosmote TV (Greece) and LRT (Lithuania).

These are in addition to the previously announced sales to BritBox (North America), Foxtel (Australia), YLE (Finland), SVT (Sweden), Pickbox (CEE), Virgin Media (Ireland) and Sky New Zealand.

Foxtel, SVT, Sky NZ, TV2 Norway, YLE, Canal+ (Romania and Dutch-speaking Benelux), Cosmote TV, LRT and Pickbox have also picked up the new second season (also 4×60′) of the show.

Produced in the UK by Clapperboard Studios, The Game tells the story of police detective Huw Miller (Watkins), who is haunted by the one murder case he failed to solve.
