Sphere Abacus brings Horror at the Hotel to Mipcom

NEWS BRIEF: Bell Media-owned distributor Sphere Abacus is taking UK prodco Woodcut Media’s upcoming true crime docuseries Horror at the Hotel to Mipcom next month.

Currently in production, each episode of the 8×60’ series unravels a murder committed at a hotel, with cases spanning the UK and US. Sphere Abacus holds the worldwide distribution rights and has already presold the series to Paramount-owned 5 in the UK and Ireland, Bell Media’s Crave in Canada and Radial Entertainment in the US. Tracey Moore is series producer for Woodcut, while the prodco’s co-founder and technical director Matt Blyth exec produces with Angie Cox.
