Sky Crime orders true crime docuseries on Gilgo Beach serial killings

UK factual network Sky Crime has commissioned a true crime documentary series about the Gilgo Beach serial killings committed in Long Island between 1993 and 2010.

Produced by Dublin-based true crime specialist Peninsula Television, Terror on Long Island (3×60’) explores how the search for a missing woman in 2010 led to the discovery of the remains of multiple people, sparking a hunt for a serial killer.

The case was unsolved for over a decade until Rex Heuermann was charged and ultimately sentenced to life in prison last month for seven murders.
