Sinking Ship sells mystery series Ghostwriter to NHK, Odd Squad to HOP, SVT

Ghostwriter follows four kids brought together by a ghost haunting a bookstore

Japanese broadcaster NHK has acquired the first series of live-action mystery-adventure series Ghostwriter.

Coproduced by Toronto-based Sinking Ship Entertainment (SSE) and Sesame Workshop for Apple TV+, it follows four kids who are brought together by a mysterious ghost haunting a neighbourhood bookstore.

SSE also revealed sales of further titles in its catalogue, with Israel’s HOP and Sweden’s SVT buying season two of Odd Squad UK (SSE, Fred Rogers Productions and BBC Studios for PBS, TVO and CBBC). YLE in Finland, meanwhile, has licensed the first series of Odd Squad UK and Dino Dex.

Finally, Aqlvoy in Uzbekistan has taken several SSE titles including Odd Squad, Dino Dana and Annedroids.
