RTL sets up OTT animé net

German broadcaster RTL has launched a video-on-demand channel that allows smart TV owners to watch animé series such as Speed Grapher and Romeo x Juliet.

Clipfish Anime is accessible via internet-enabled set-top boxes behind the red button and includes around 150 hours of programming. It is free to access and supported by advertising.

Full episodes of shows such as Arcana Famiglia and Rogue Hero are also available, alongside Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs.

RTL already offers a range of VoD channels, including ClipFish Comedy, which launched in August.

The original Clipfish portal was launched by RTL Interactive, the multimedia arm of RTL Television, in 2006.
