Rick & Morty creator links with Fox

Fox Entertainment in the US and Rick & Morty creator Dan Harmon have entered a broadcast network-only exclusive animation deal.

Harmon, also known as the man behind NBC sitcom community, will create and develop a comedy series targeted to premiere in spring 2022.

Fox Entertainment will produce the series, with subsidiary Bento Box Entertainment serving as the animation studio.

The agreement follows deals Fox Entertainment recently signed with Jeff Davis, Kyle Killen, Mara Brock Akil and Sarah Watson.
