Rai, Canal+ to play Hide & Seek

Hide & Seek follows the search for children who vanish from a small town

Broadcasters including Rai in Italy and Canal+ in Poland have picked up Ukrainian crime noir series Hide & Seek from ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE), the commercial arm of the German pubcaster.

The eight-part drama has also been sold to the Czech Republic’s FTV Prima, Estonia’s ETV, LRT in Lithuania and Lumière in the Benelux region.

Hide & Seek is about children mysteriously disappearing from a small industrial town and the two detectives who, battling with their own demons, make it their personal quest to find the kidnapper.

The series was originally produced by Film.UA for ICTV in Ukraine and Okko in Russia.

Robert Franke, VP of drama at ZDFE, said: “Hide & Seek has all the hallmarks of a quality thriller, an engaging plot, great acting and clever writing and with crime drama being one of television’s most popular genres, it comes as no surprise that this series has attracted interest across two continents.”
