Prime Video resurrects Carrie for second season

NEWS BRIEF: Amazon’s streamer Prime Video has renewed Mike Flanagan’s horror drama Carrie, a reimagining of Stephen King’s 1974 debut novel for the social media age, for a second season.

Flanagan returns as showrunner and exec producer, with King again exec producing. Summer H Howell and Samantha Sloyan star in the Amazon MGM Studios production. All eight episodes of season one launched on October 7 and are available in more than 240 countries and territories. Prime Video said the series reached number one on its service in at least 105 countries at launch.
