Paramount+ preps slate of British series from A24

US streamer Paramount+ has acquired three UK scripted series produced by independent entertainment company A24.

They comprise comedy It Gets Worse, coming-of-age drama Major Players and the TV adaption of New York Times-bestselling novel The Ministry of Time.

The cast of It Gets Worse, which is created and executive produced by star Leo Reich for Channel 4 in the UK and Showtime, includes Emily Fairn (House of Guinness), Olive Gray (Save Me, Halo) and Sean Delaney (Killing Eve).

Major Players is an original drama co-written by Molly Manning Walker (How to Have Sex) and Yasmin Joseph (A Thousand Blows) about two girls on the brink of adulthood and their mission to start a women’s football team. It was also originally produced by A24 for Channel 4.

The Ministry of Time was adapted by Alice Birch (Succession, Normal People) from Kaliane Bradley’s novel. The series is produced for the BBC and stars Aoife Hinds (Normal People) and Billy Howle (The Perfect Couple).
