Off the Fence sets off on Potter-themed journey with Fantastic Friends

Fantastic Friends’ hosts James and Oliver Phelps with Bonnie Wright in Iceland

European producer and distributor Off the Fence has launched UK prodco Dash Pictures’ Harry Potter-themed factual series Fantastic Friends into the global distribution market.

The 6×60’ series is presented by James and Oliver Phelps, who played twins Fred and George Weasley in the films based on JK Rowling’s books.

The two travel around the world, meeting former co-stars such as Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) and Luke Youngblood (Lee Jordan).

Maisie Williams and Hayley Joel Osment are also set to appear in the show, which travels to a new location every episode. Currently in production, the show is available as a pre-sale.

Fantastic Friends was produced and directed by filmmaker Daniel Sharp. It is executive produced by James and Oliver Phelps, Martin Blencowe and Daniel Sharp.

Dash Pictures was formerly known as SWR Media, rebranding earlier in the autumn. Off the Fence is owned by German distributor ZDF Enterprises.
