Netflix orders third instalment of Lionsgate TV drama The Hunting Wives

US import The Hunting Wives proved a success for ITV

Netflix has renewed The Hunting Wives for a third season, ahead of season two’s November 26 premiere. The Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment series will return as a Netflix-branded original in nearly all Netflix markets, with season three set for eight episodes.

Created and showrun by Rebecca Cutter and based on May Cobb’s bestselling novel, The Hunting Wives has generated more than 35 million views since its July 2025 debut, per Netflix. Season one spent five weeks in Netflix’s Global Top 10 English-language TV list and reached number one in 10 countries including the US. The show was initially set up at Starz, but moved to Netflix after the separation of former corporate siblings Starz and Lionsgate.
