White Lies is a new drama for South Africa’s M-Net, starring Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer as an investigative journalist who gets caught up in a wealthy Cape Town underbelly, forcing her to face up to her turbulent past.

The show comes from local prodco Quizzical Pictures, which Dormer encountered after working with Fremantle on Picnic at Hanging Rock and signing a first-look deal with the firm – distributor of previous Quizzical drama Reyka.

While White Lies isn’t one of the projects she’s developing out of her own outfit, Dog Rose Productions, she is an exec producer on the series and spoke to Michael Pickard about it and her work behind the scenes.
