Mediawan Rights forges $100m partnership with Entourage Ventures for new series

France’s Mediawan Group has teamed up with investment firm Entourage Ventures to finance dramas, animated series and docuseries with international potential.

Under the four- to six-year agreement, Entourage Ventures will work with Mediawan’s distribution arm Mediawan Rights to co-develop, coproduce and co-distribute the series.

The deal covers future productions, as well as a large number of Mediawan Rights’ existing projects, such as drama Zorro and children’s show The Little Prince & Friends.

Investments and revenue will be shared 50/50, with Mediawan handling the operational distribution of the series. The operation will be financed by a €100m (US$107.7m) fund from Entourage.
