Hulu and Disney+ in Japan to share content under new cut-price bundle plan

Nippon TV’s Mr Hiiragi’s Homeroom is available on Hulu

Streamers Hulu and Disney+ in Japan have launched a bundle plan for their platforms.

In Japan, Hulu is owned by Nippon TV and houses content from its parent company plus local original programmes.

The bundle will give Hulu Japan customers access to branded content from Disney+, including films, animation and live-action from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star.

Disney+ Japan customers will now have access to content from Hulu, including Nippon TV’s The Quest, Mr Hiiragi’s Homeroom and Reeboting.

The bundle is priced at JPY1,490 (US$10.68) per month, which is 25% less than subscribing to each service individually.
