HOT, Sipur, North Road, Endemol Shine team up for Israeli medical thriller

Israeli broadcaster HOT has commissioned medical drama series Heart of a Killer from Herzliya-based studio Sipur, Peter Chernin’s The North Road Company and Endemol Shine Israel.

The coproduction was created by Gal Zaid (Valley of Tears), Roni Yaddor and Laid Shoham, and will be directed by Evgeny Ruman (East Side) and stars Niv Sultan (Tehran).

The series follows a promising transplant surgeon who is drawn into a world of corruption after she turns to illicit organ harvesting to save a friend wronged by the hospital.

The project reunites HOT, Sipur, North Road and Endemol Shine Israel after they previously collaborated on the Israeli drama Bad Boy.

Heart of a Killer is executive produced by Amir Ganor for Endemol Shine Israel; Frouman for North Road; Emilio Schenker, Michael Schmidt and Gideon Tadmor for Sipur; and Ori Gal, Dana Mendlinger and Mirit Toovi for HOT.
