RunCowRun aims to facilitate funding, partnerships and commercial development, acting as a “flexible resource” for producers and buyers.

Cowdery and Runham previously worked together at UK factual distributor BossaNova. Cowdery was head of sales overseeing the US, Canada, Latin America, UK, France and Italy, while Runham was head of acquisitions.

Cowdery started her commercial career in television at NBCUniversal and Lionsgate and then at Entertainment One. She went on to work at TCB Media Rights before joining BossaNova.

Runham also previously worked at TCB Media Rights, as well as at Beyond Rights, which was later acquired by Banijay. Before moving into distribution, she worked on channels and production at National Geographic and Dragonfly Film & TV.

Runham said: “As experts in our field and with the relationships to match, we’re driven to work across an industry in transition, staying close to the changes in how content is financed, sold and seen, helping the businesses and projects we represent to navigate that shift.

“The company’s purpose is to operate with trust, versatility and market informed decision making at its core at a time where collaboration, quick thinking, total flexibility and innovative bandwidth should be a basic toolkit.”

Cowdery added: “RunCowRun offers a combination of complementary skill sets. I’ve loved my career in international sales, learning along the way as the role morphed into a deeper, integrated commercial partner role. We want to take this expertise to producer partners who need the energy and intel we can provide.”
