Dreamspark, the French non-scripted format creation and production studio founded by Moe Bennani and Julien Muresianu, has appointed Sébastien Petiot as chief operating officer (COO).

Petiot joins on June 22 and will also become a partner in the company.

Working alongside Bennani, president and founder of Dreamspark, Petiot will oversee the studio’s operations, lead its organisational structuring, support its growth strategy, and help drive the development of its formats with broadcasters, platforms and international partners.

The Frenchman began his career at local commercial broadcaster TF1 before holding senior leadership roles at Adventure Line Productions, ITV Studios France and, most recently, Banijay France.

In just four years, Dreamspark has been involved in the creation, development and production of Werewolves for Canal+ with JAAD Productions and Presque Prod, The Power for W9 with Studio 89, Sea Battle for TF1 with Satisfaction, Dirty Players for TFX / TF1+, and That’s My Chair! for France Télévisions with Troisième Œil Productions / Mediawan.

The company says international expansion is now a major strategic focus, across both Europe and the US. Following several European launches, including Loups Garous Germany for ARD / ARD Mediathek and The Power Germany for Joyn, the studio is confirming the export potential of its formats.

Dreamspark is also continuing to develop new native formats for platforms and YouTube, while strengthening its investment in artificial intelligence applied to format creation, development, production and marketing.

Petiot joins a team led by Bennani, Quentin Jomand, Fabien Husson, Frédéric Jacquette, Siobhan Crawford and Sophie Gout, alongside several key creative producers including Julien Mansio, Stéphanie Vola and Barbara Lereec.
