Dennis & Gnasher joins ABC Me

Dennis & Gnasher Unleashed debuted on CBBC

An Australian channel has become the first international network to acquire the recent reboot of iconic UK children’s property Dennis the Menace.

ABC Me has taken Dennis & Gnasher Unleashed (52×11′), which sees the characters animated in CGI for the first time, having already appeared in 2D animated series such as Dennis the Menace & Gnasher.

CBBC in the UK premiered the series last month following a deal with the show’s producer Beano Studios, which launched last month.

The show is based on characters who first appeared in UK children’s comic The Beano and is supported by the Beano.com website, which launched recently in Australia.

Allison Watkins, executive VP, global consumer products and TV distribution at Beano Studios, said that announcements about more international buyers in “key markets” would be made shortly.
