Channel 4, Virgin Media TV Ireland are Complicit in murder mystery order

UK public service broadcaster Channel 4 has acquired a new six-part murder mystery from ITV Studios’ Tall Story Pictures and Metropolitan Pictures.

Complicit, written and created by Caroline Carver (The Bay, Grace), peers into the shadows of a suburban neighbourhood and the hidden lives of its residents.

Claire Goose (Gone, The Bay) stars alongside Moe Dunford (House of Guinness, The Dry), Damian Barr and Jason O’Mara (The Lincoln Lawyer, The Man in the High Castle).

The series is a coproduction between Tall Story Pictures, part of ITV Studios, and Metropolitan Pictures, made in association with Channel 4, ITV Studios, Virgin Media Television Ireland, Screen Ireland and the Coimisiún na Meán Sound & Vision Fund. ITV Studios will handle international distribution.

Carver leads the writing team with additional episodes from Evan Placey (The Bay, The Tattooist of Auschwitz), Tom Farrelly (Fool Me Once, Lazarus) and Fran Harris (Blue Lights, Clean Sweep).

The series is directed by Brian O’Malley (Frauds, Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue), while Patrick O’Donoghue (The Walsh Sisters, The Tourist) and David McLoughlin (KIN, How to Get To Heaven From Belfast) serve as producers.

Executive producers are Catherine Oldfield, creative director of Tall Story Pictures, alongside Jenna Robbins for Tall Story. Catherine Tiernan exec produces for Metropolitan Pictures.

The show was acquired by Polly Scates, head of acquisitions at Channel 4.
