Canal+, Viasat World, Czech TV acquire factual content from Cineflix Rights

Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers has been acquired by Canal+ in Poland and AMC in CEE

Canal+ in Poland has acquired a package of lifestyle shows from UK distributor Cineflix Rights for its Canal+ Domo channel, including Don’t Hate Your House With the Property Brothers.

The 14×60’ series, produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment for HGTV US and Canada, follows siblings Jonathan and Drew Scott as they help people make the most of the properties they live in.

Canal+ has also picked up Top of the Block (40×30’, Scott Brothers Entertainment for HGTV Canada) and Help! We Bought a Village season one (20×60’, True North for Channel 4).

The sales are part of a raft of deals secured by Cineflix rights. Elsewhere, Canal+ Luxembourg has taken a multi-territory licence for Last King of the Cross seasons one and two (18×60’, Helium for Paramount+ Australia) across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Benelux and Romania. The platform has also bought factual titles Billionaire Boys Club (4×60’, CNN Original Productions US) for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and Kobe: The Making of a Legend (3×60’, CNN Original Productions US) for its networks in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania.

Viasat World, meanwhile, has bought Kill/Switch (10×60’, Law&Crime Productions for Law&Crime Network US) and On Trial: The Idaho College Killer (1×60’, Law&Crime Productions for Tubi US) for its Viasat True Crime channel across Central and Eastern Europe.

Czech TV has acquired Can Dogs Talk? (1×60’, Idéacom International and Big Wave Productions for CBC English Canada, Radio-Canada, PBS Nova US and Arte France and Germany); Rome Underground (1×60’, Idéacom International, MyMax Edutainment and Artline Films for Radio-Canada, Télé-Québec, France Télévisions, Histoire TV France, Hearst Network Italia and NHK Japan); and Alexander the Great: Legendary Conqueror (3×60’, Pernel Media for Canal+ Group France and TV5 Quebec).

BBC Poland has bought Vanished History (10×60’, Shark Teeth Films for Bell Media Canada) and Recording Evil (3×60’, Totseret Ha’Aretz Productions for KAN 11 Israel).

AMC Global Media Central Europe has also picked up Don’t Hate Your House With the Property Brothers for its Spektrum Home channel across Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Finally, Pickbox has bought three Christmas TV movies – Undercover Holiday, ’Twas the Date Before Christmas and Trading Up Christmas (all 1×90’, Cineflix for Hallmark Channel US) – for its channels across Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Bulgaria.
