Canada’s Underknown rolls out Popular Science

NEWS BRIEF: Toronto-based, creator-led media company Underknown is to launch educational free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel Popular Science, based on the US publication that has operated since 1872.

Available on platforms such as Vizio WatchFree+, Sling Freestream, FUBO, Plex and Local Now, Popular Science will stream content including live coverage of rocket launches and programming made in collaboration with YouTube creators. Underknown co-founder and CEO Steve Hulford said the move would extend Popular Science’s “legacy of reliable storytelling and innovation.”
