BriteSpark uses doorbell cam footage in true crime series for CBS AMC Networks UK

When Death Comes Knocking looks at murder cases in both the US and UK

The CBS AMC Networks UK Channels Partnership, a joint venture between AMC Networks International (AMCNI) UK and Paramount in Europe and Radial Entertainment in the US, have commissioned Argonon’s BriteSpark Films to produce a true crime docuseries.

When Death Comes Knocking (10×60’) tells the stories of 10 separate murder investigations in the US and UK, where in each episode the suspect or key evidence was caught on doorbell or security cameras.

Cases include the murder of NBA star Andrei Emmett, who was killed outside his home in Dallas, and 16-year-old Ronan Kanda, who was murdered when visiting a friend’s house in the UK city of Wolverhampton in a case of mistaken identity.

BriteSpark’s founder Nick Godwin is exec producing, alongside AMCNI UK’s VP of content group Sam Rowden and commissioning editor Jess Rampling. Alex Nikolic-Dunlop is series producer.

Blue Ant Rights is distributing the series in the rest of the world.
