Brazil’s TV Globo tries to Catch Me Out

Catch Me Out will form part of Sunday primetime show Domingão do Faustão

Brazilian TV network TV Globo has commissioned a local version of entertainment show Catch Me Out, from UK-based distributor All3Media International.

TV Globo will produce an initial 4×40’ episodes in-house as part of its Sunday  primetime show Domingão do Faustão. It also has an option to produce a further five episodes.

Catch Me Out will be coproduced by Studio Lambert-owned Glitterbox and RDF’s Fizz. The format sees everyday people trying to convince an audience they are professional entertainers.

Domingão do Faustão features a mix of live music performances and interviews combined with special segments. Catch Me Out is the latest international programme to feature as part of the show, following a local adaptation of singing and impersonation competition Your Face Sounds Familiar.

“TV Globo’s Domingão do Faustão has been a mainstay of Brazil’s Sunday evening schedules for three decades,” said Janel Downing, VP of sales in Latin America at All3Media International.

The latest deal follows previous collaborations between TV Globo and All3, through which the Brazilian broadcaster has produced and aired several seasons of factual entertainment programme Undercover Boss, also from Studio Lambert.
