Betts climbs ladder at ITV plc

In the UK, ITV’s director of business development, Tom Betts has been appointed as chief operating officer, reporting to the chief executive officer of ITV’s consumer division, Jeff Henry.

Joining ITV at Central TV’s production division in 1991, Tom has held a variety of roles across business affairs, commercial, corporate development and strategy, including acting managing director of operations in ITV Broadcasting for the past few months.

Henry said: “As part of a small focused team we will rapidly develop ITV’s presence in emerging media markets, as well as expanding our core business into areas of television where we have currently unfulfilled potential. A respected industry professional, Tom will play a pivotal role in this growth.”
