BBC Studios alum Amber Brown named commercial director at EndemolShine Australia

Former BBC Studios and Fremantle executive Amber Brown has been appointed as commercial director at EndemolShine Australia (ESA).

Based in Sydney, she starts her new position immediately and will report to Peter Newman, the company’s chief executive.

Brown is tasked with overseeing ESA’s commercial strategy, driving business growth and finding new revenue streams.

She joins from BBC Studios Australia and New Zealand, where she served as director of partnerships, digital and brands. Prior to that, Brown held senior roles at Meta, Nine Network and Fremantle, where she worked for seven years, rising to exec VP media and brand licensing.

Part of Banijay, ESA produces unscripted shows MasterChef, Australian Survivor and Big Brother, as well as drama series NCIS Sydney and RFDS.

Newman said: “As the content landscape continues to evolve, Amber brings the strategic vision, industry relationships and commercial expertise to further drive our next phase of growth.
