Another US pilot for Granada

Following a Fox pilot pick-up earlier this month, Granada Media's US outpost has seen another sitcom pilot given the nod, this time by Disney-owned network ABC.

LA-based Granada Entertainment has partnered with Disney-owned Touchstone Television for a pilot for My Wonderful Life. The comedy half-hour follows a single mother as she strives to balance work, motherhood and the search for romance.

Exec producing the show is Suzanne Bukinik and Jenji Kohan, who also wrote the script. Ally Walker is also attached to star.

Other new ABC pilots, according to LA pilot monitor TVtracker.com, include The Michael Jacobs Project (wt) a sitcom from Touchstone and NBC Studios about a workaholic bloke who tries to reconnect with his wife and kids. Jacobs exec produces.

Brad Grey Television has also partnered with Touchstone for another recent ABC pilot, which has a working title of The Alan Zweibel Project. This single-cam comedy offers a husband's-eye-view of marriage, with Zweibel wearing the exec producer's hat.
