US-based FilmNation has tapped Richard Tulk-Hart and James Durie’s High Road Entertainment to advise and consult across its entire television slate.

Under the arrangement, High Road will work with FilmNation to support projects through financing and international market strategy, while also providing executive production expertise from development through production.

The two companies, which will also seek projects to coproduce together, said they are aiming to bring high-end drama to market using largely non-traditional routes to financing.

High Road was launched by Tulk-Hart and Durie earlier this year and draws on the co-CEOs’ experience packaging, financing and bringing premium TV projects to market.

Details of individual titles on the slate will be announced, the companies said.

FilmNation productions include the Oscar-winning films Anora and Conclave, while its TV series include Prime Video’s The House of the Spirits, historical epic Black Gold, Big Story for Sky, Forever Home for UK broadcaster 5 and I Know This Much is True for HBO.

Kirstie Macdonald, FilmNation’ s head of television, said: “High Road Entertainment is an ideal partner for this slate. Their understanding of the international television landscape, combined with their financing, distribution and exec producing capabilities, makes them the perfect partner to build on the success achieved so far.”
