AMC has picked up all 10 seasons of crime drama CSI: Miami to add to its slate of original productions.

The US cablenet has struck a deal with CBS Television Distribution, whose parent network first aired the series in 2002.

The pact includes the next two seasons of CSI: Miami, should they go ahead. The series is due to air on AMC, the home of Mad Men and The Walking Dead, at the beginning of January.

CSI: Miami, a spin-off from the original forensic cop drama set in Las Vegas, was first syndicated on A&E.
